23:13 The sons of Amram:

Aaron and Moses.

Aaron and his descendants were chosen on a permanent basis to consecrate the most holy items, to offer sacrifices before the Lord, to serve him, and to praise his name. ¹ 

1 Tawarikh 29:17

29:17 I know, my God, that you examine thoughts ²  and are pleased with integrity. With pure motives ³  I contribute all this; and now I look with joy as your people who have gathered here contribute to you.

[23:13]  ¹ tn Heb “and Aaron was set apart to consecrate it, the most holy things, he and his sons, permanently, to sacrifice before the Lord, to serve him, and to bless his name permanently.”
